There are nodes there but not "on" the jaw. From what you're saying it sounds like your jawbone.

You need to stop checking your body for "lymph nodes". You have several hundred in your body. They do a job. You have no idea what they should feel like so what exactly are you checking for when you check? What do you exactly expect to find?
