I am not in a panic about this as I have had it on and off for at least 20 years! Just wondering if anyone else gets it.
It tends to happen when I am about to speak and I take a breath in and completely choke. Even my voice goes for a short time as i cough and splutter. I then have soreness below bottom of throat for rest of day.
My husband also does it so I know its not just me.
Its always same scenario. I go to speak and either breathe in or turn my head as I speak and bingo massive choking fit. I can do it a few times over a couple of weeks then not for months and months.
