Ok so late last year I was seeing a gastrointestinal specialist and nothing was found except and I quote a letter from the specialist here "i note routine tests including full blood count U & Es, LFTs are normal with a slightly elevated bilirubin which may well be Gilbert's syndrome. I have organised a coeliac serology and ultrasound of his abdomen to rule out bilary pathology" and all these test were fine and nothing was ever done after this so I don't know if I have it? As of lately I'm getting itchy eyes and skin and I'm pretty sure they're turning yellow.

Are they around the outer edge of your eye? I don't have Gilbert's, my liver enzymes are completely normal, as a matter of fact the last time I got tested they were a bit below normal, but as far as I can assess it's perfectly normal to have a tiny bit of yellow around your eye, just not normal for your eyes to be completely yellow.

Also, I'm not sure whether you confirmed you had the ultrasound? I had an ultrasound recently it's fairly simple. Doctor found nothing. I lost 15 pounds over a matter of months without any change in diet which is the why we're investigating, but what you're going through sounds completely normal. There are a couple people on here with elevated liver enzymes that had Gilbert's. It seems harmless and a bit common. I don't think Gilbert's could turn your eyes yellow, so it's probably nothing to worry about. Just check in with your doctor to put yourself at ease.

Yes, but what you were referring to is completely normal. Now that he checked you out, just take it easy and wait for your blood test to get back. Once the doctor tells you you're okay you're all set. Have a good one.
