Work Focused Interview

I've just applied for income support over the phone and been given an appointment for next week to attend a work focused interview and I need to attend to complete my claim.

I struggle to even go into shops on my own as I feel trapped and panic if I can't get out quickly so the thought of this interview is really making me nervous and I know that for the next week it'll be all I think about.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever managed to arrange to have it over the phone rather than going to the job centre?

Hi Alexa, in my experience of making this claim you have to be there in person to show ID, bank statements etc. I had to show them my passport too. You also have to sign forms. But most of these places these days are large open spaces with plenty of seating areas.

You can always ask if you can wait just outside the main room near the exit door or stairs if not on the ground floor, and ask if they would call you in from there.
