As well as the chest pains, I am now getting pins and needles all up the back of my head and neck.

I have had them on and off all day. Not sure if this is anxiety or a symptom of something else and I am really worried

Can anyone help

Hi Laura

This is a symptom of anxiety I used to get it all the time, it is really quite unpleasant isn't it. What used to help me was a relaxation cd. It's due to the amount of adrenalin buzzing around you system, although it's hard you just have to try and ignore it, it will eventually go away.

Take care

I forgot to say that there are lots of posts in this forum about pins and needles etc . Just search in symptoms.

Hi Laura

I get these symptoms too. As Lainey says it is a symptom of anxiety and nothing serious.

I will look out some of the posts and post about it.

It may help to read what others have to say about it.

Hi Laura

I, too, have had pins, needles, and numbness when under a lot of stress or having a lot of anxiety. The closest thing that the DRs could determine, was muscle tension causing nerves in my back to do all sorts of wierd things in various places....

And, that was the key, too - if a tingle or numb spot is consistent, stays in the same place, and it there whether you're happy or sad, then, it might be something. BUT - if it is vague, appears at different places and at different times, it is probably a side effect of our not so kind PA friend!

Discovering this really helped me to battle PAs. It takes time, but, just remind yourself that it hasn't done you in yet, and, trust me, before too long, your mind will begin to believe it, and you won't be frightened by it.

Recoginzing what our bodily symptoms REALLY are is one of the strongest tools we have against the PA monster. Remember, all of us have had the pins and needles, (and still do), but we survived!!![8D]

Keep your chin up!
