I just had results of my blood test and although white cells are back to normal (from 2 months ago) my CRP is still raised at 7 and when i asked if it could be a sign of cancer she said it was unlikely but could be and ow
i am in a complete state 😢 she said it should
be less than 5 i also having night sweats for 3 weeks

Crp is just an indicator of inflammation in your body. There are tons of non cancer reasons for inflammation.

Natt, a CRP of 7 is nothing to worry about in my experience.

I have Crohn's and when I flared up and got really sick my CRP was over 150!

It's just a general inflammation test so there could be a very small amount of inflammation going on anywhere in your body which, I expect, is quite normal. Allergies and things like that can raise it too.

really, don't worry about 7.

i have been retested this morning after 2blood tests have shown crp of 7, now i know this isn't high but why after 2 months did it not change/ go down? i am terrified this one will show it hasn't gone down or worse gone up! all other bloods fine and yes my fear is cancer. i don't have symptoms except some side effects from sertraline which i've stated again and night sweats (prior to starting the meds again) .....anyone have experience of this with no symptoms. i don't have RA or autoimmune which i know crp is used in as my mum has had it since her 20's (i am 43)

Mine was 599 once when I was ill (still didn't know what was wrong) then it went down to 400. Last time mine was 6 and they said the average range is 7 and under. My ca-125 blood test was 41 and then 43 (should be under 35) but nothing has been found. I hate blood tests :(
