My worries about als started end of October. I had an emg January. Clean. Bulbar is my main concern. My anxiety is nire or less under control now through meds and therapy.

I asked for a second opinion a few months ago and today is finally the day of the appointment. I do still have issues that concern me. The consultant I am seeing today is THE specialist in the country so I know that after today it will definitely be ruled out or in. If I am lucky enough for it to be ruled out, I know I will be able to put this to rest.

I will update tonight.

I'll bet my life savings they tell you that you do not have ALS. Clean EMG = NO ALS, and I don't care about obscure, unverified Internet stories that say otherwise.

my dad once told me "believe nothing of what you hear, and half of what you see". I kinda laughed at first, but lately ive been wondering if its true lol. Lots of stuff is written all over the net, but....how do you know its true? Even on these forums, people who say they have this and that....how do we know its true? People can say anything. Hope all goes well for you LE

Thanks all.

Sorry I didn't post last night.

Thankfully all went well. The consultant was so lovely and very thorough. He listened to my 'story' and then did an examination. He said I am very strong and that he assures me I don't have mnd. Over the past couple of months I have been getting better. The worry has still been at the back of my mind but I am ready to leave it now. Thanks xxxx

Glad to hear you got the clear.

I haven't been to a nuero but I've seen my GP about twitches and mnd fear and have been told not to worry.

I am doing much better with my anxiety, but like you still lingers in the back of my mind.
