I have had jaw and chest pain for many months with palpitations etc my doctor sent me for a echocardiogram not because he thought I needed it but just to shut me up really. Well the results came back and it stated I have a very mild lvsd otherwise known as left ventricular systolic dysfunction I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about it my doctor explained but he seemed very vague. I have been referred to a cardiologist now. Here are the full results
Good echo subject. Sinus rhythm. HR 60 to 70 bpm
Very mild lvsd (ef = 50-55%)
Suggest monitor with symptoms and consider cardiology opinion regarding RWMAs and patient symptoms
ATRIA/INTER-ATRIAL SEPTUM
normal la/ra size ias appears intact
LEFT VENTRICLE
Normal lv cavity size. No obvious lvh some hupokinesia of basal-mid septal and basal mid inferior walls overall very mild lvsd (EF by simpsons biplane = 50-55%
RIGHT VENTRICLE
Normal size with good function
AORTIC VALVE
triafleat aov cups are thin and mobile no as/ar
MITTAL VALVE
MV leaflets are mildly thickened but mobile. No ms traces of MR
TRICUOSID VALVE
Tv leaflets are thin and mobile. No obvious tr unable to estimate rvsp ivc is normal size with 50% collapse on sniff manoeuvre
