Surf lessons

I've bought my sister surfing lessons because shes always wanted to go and she's due next weekend. My anxiety is flaring up imaging something horrible happening like shark or drowning and it being mt fault. I dont want to voice this to her because shes so excited.

The chances of anything happening are so very slim especially as a qualified instructor will be there I'd think.
I used to worry about my son. Hes very outdoor, loves allsorts of scary sports. I was filled with fear just over a year ago when he started an apprenticeship (that we found for him!) in Devon teaching others climbing, abseiling, canoeing. I still worry & like you I worried because if anything happened it was me he took him there, it would be my fault.
We've been on surf lessons before & it was so safe. Your sisters lucky to have a great sister give her such an exciting present. It will be ok xx
