First of all im not sure im suppose to even do this and I apologize Nic and anyone else if im doing something wrong here.I had to share what I found since I have posted a bizzilion post about pulsation in head.I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and given zoloft when in fact the thing that I was depressed and anxious the most about was pretty much misdiagnosed...

Besides the fact that it made me depressed and anxious it caused me to start worrying about other things that I experienced that I never thought to worry about.I did something terrible Nic and I aplogize.I am just so sick of being blown off and told nothing is wrong with me I did a little more research..

Its just sad that you are told over and over you are imagaining things when you arent.Ok with all that said .. and hopefully forgiveness for googling and also for posting this here..Its only in hopes of helping others that suffer the same fate.

I was surfing along with my head pounding hoping to find just one tidbit of info that was different besides the possibility of something fatal.Low and behold I stumbled on an answer and where would that answer be?
Of course yahoo answers.

A young lady that suffers the samething I do and have for two years posted losing her mind almost. She had some of the same answers I had smarty and off track completely but Im going to link the question and answer here and want all that suffers from this to please read it.. once again I hope im not breaking any rules here.. But this IS the answer..Its just no one has ever told the people that suffer from it what it was..

Hopefully I will help someone else .. BE sure to read the question and then the best answer choosen..Thanks

My mom has something similar to this...and was diagnosed with tinnitus of the ear. The sounds though cause her panic and anxiety attacks, therfore she takes meds for that. My mom spent SO much money going to SO many specialists before being diagnosed, so I can sort of relate. Hope youre well!

I can relate and thats why I posted this information here..Tinnitus is usually a condition that is caused from hearing noises in your ears ..from the inner workings of your body..ok..I have had tinnitus for 30 years .. learned to live with it.. I have also been said to have pulsative tinnitus which the outcome of this on the internet usually is subject to scare you to death..therefore I dont look for this anymore..

Ok..another thing it could be if your mom is hearing a heartbeat is whats called Patalous Eustician tube disfunction.. Well that could be mine but the person that I put the link on here to says its something to do with the bone in the ear and stiffening of that area to amplify the artery just underneath the bone..This sounds more rational and acceptable than all these other explinations since no one seems to think that im dying or have any signifigant other symptoms..

I posted what I found to help others that might incure or actually have this issue to read it.. But yes I suppose it could be called a form of tinnitus..

By the way if you are referring to a ringing in the ears.. Mine is ringing right now and has been for most of the last 30 years..Your brain learns to tune it out.. its cause who knows but nothing they can cure..

Michael.

I don't suffer with this, but do sometimes here funny sounds in my ears.

I have been following your thread for a long time now. I must say, you have been working hard to find the answers to the sounds in your ear. Hay, WELL DONE YOU.

It says that this is harmless, so Michael, I do hope that you put this to rest now, I know it may take time, but you know it can be done.

Just like you did with the ringing in the ears

****By the way if you are referring to a ringing in the ears.. Mine is ringing right now and has been for most of the last 30 years..Your brain learns to tune it out.. its cause who knows but nothing they can cure**

I do hope what you have found can put your mind at rest and in time you can learn your mind how to tune it out.

Good luck Michael

wishing you well

LOVE JILLXX

The first 3 years the ringing scared me many said that high blood pressure was the cause..my doctor said I can barely tell you are alive with your blood pressure..kidding of course he just said no way ..but still for at least a year i would break out the blood pressure kit and test away but always the same result no issues..

It keeps getting easier to tune it out especially if I can get myself into something .A conversation,an article or something Im working on.I woke today and felt great at 10 am but the wife said lets go back to sleep for a bit..I did and when I woke I felt weak and sick to my stomach of course with reaccuring anxious dreams,

I did force myself to get up although I felt to myself missing heart beats and forced myself to get going and feed the animals and to go ahead and load rolls of fencing wire that had to be returned to town.God I didnt want to go to town today ..

As I got in the truck to go.. my heart skipped more beats.. We got to the place where we had to return the wire and of course my wife wanted to walk all over shopping me feeling like i was going to faint anytime and just an errie creepy feeling all over me..

Even after we left there I had that creepy am I going to make it feeling..Pounding pulse in the back of my head.We stopped one other place and I managed to make it in and out.. and drive home.I got home and still felt uncordinated and just scared feeling inside.

If i feel this way in town im usally ok when I get home..I bought our animals treats and went out and gave them some and also hooked the irrigation system up to run for a few hours..I keep feeling like someone hit me in the stomach and also just an scarry feeling inside..But its got cloudy and the wind is whinning and making strange noises to add to the creepy feeling I have.

I wished I had just said no this morning and stayed awake and got busy, but well im starting to feel a little more secure ..and it doesnt seem like my heart is skipping as bad as it did.. but I do have have a creepy feeling that I can't seem to shake ..Perhaps now that im home ill start feeling better.I don't want to be like this.I want to go into town and shop and stop feeling weird.I just want to be normal and feel sane..

Thank for your compliment about the research..God knows Im just a research freak..Its made me learn things that I would have never learned and well .. When there is an issue with anything not only medical i can usally research into finding the solution..Although with health I don't recommend it to anyone.Majority of the time you are going to find something fatal and the wrong information..

I have been persistant on this subject and only gone to people that has some knowledge of what im asking..they all say its ok...and ill survive.. But the thing with this is.. when my heart does skip or becomes beating weird you can hear it..If you are trying to ignore things it becomes a problem since you cant escape it..

Hopefully in time Ill learn that im still here and when the pounding begins my mind will tune it out.. The ringing well the ringing and weird noises in my ears have gone on for 30 years and very seldom stopped .I even experience other strange noises to and feelings and living at a high altitude if you go to my back yard so to speak even though we are a mile and one half high ..its a lot higher and just a ride through the back and my ears are popping and pressure is coming and going..even my friends that live there tell me the samething..

Its just somedays my nerves seem to handle the thundering.. other days it cannot...Its usually on days that im tired or generally feeling bad that the heart sound really bothers me..days I have no explination for the way I feel but getting on in my years .. there will be more and more of these days..things that are natural to feel and ache..Thats what worries me the most..if I didnt have the sound then i wouldnt worry to much about the way I felt ..Its just having to learn to live with the aches and pains and general feelings of maliase and hearing that infernal thumping.God bless you all for listenings to the ramblings of and old man and I hope that somewhere sometimes something I say helps ..thanks for replying to me here.. take care.. One thing I can't help but add here..

I asked my brother one time if his ears ever rang..His reply is if they ever stopped he would go out of his mind..He had been in the service and firing large weapons during the Korean conflict and that damaged his hearing and caused a constant ringing no protection to the ears..

He died at age 44 with a massive cornary .nothing they could have done to save him..He was an athlete and ate right and worked out and was a sportsman..he told me years ago he too could here is heartbeat.. That was about a year before his death so you can see my concern. His I was told was a hidden heart condition that no one could have diagnosed..

So now I hope you all understand why I worry so..Im 52 and have outlived him so far I hope it remains that way.. Although he was a better person than I could ever be and he is missed..
