Been suffering on and off for years with mikd anxiety. Today finally went to doctors as i just hoped for something to take the edge off. She was great, really understanding, not judgemental and gave me a prescription for beta blockers after discussing the options. I now feel like i have something to take if i need to and that in itself is reassuring!! :):)

That's great! A good doctor makes all the difference, doesn't it? You can leave the surgery feeling better and hopeful instead of frustrated and miserable.

For years I felt that my doctor wasn't listening or didn't understand but I've got a new one now and she's lovely and understanding. When I burst into tears trying to tell her how I felt, she just handed over a tissue and said, "it's OK, you're in a safe space here...take your time" and I knew she was someone who I could feel comfortable with.

I hope the beta blockers work for you. :)
