Hi all,

Anxiety has been a little all over the shop recently and I'm close to spiraling.

So I've been having hives since last October with no allergies. Been diagnosed with chronic hives... yay.

Also possibly have rheumatoid arthritis. Tests came back positive but still waiting to see a specialist.

So in this hot weather we've been having my hives have been going nuts.despite the anti histamines I'm on I am still covered.

I was on the computer the other day and was absently scratching my leg where there were minor gives. Usually I try not to scratch but I wasn't properly concentrrating. Later the patch has turned bright red and later turned into what looked a little like a bruise. When I get hives on my arms they often fade to a purplish 'mottled' look so I decided to look it up. Not actively worried about it... just interested.

Ooooooh boy was that a bad idea. Came across a kind of skin vasculitus. Not that bad in itself. My aunt has a kind of vasculitus. But I read one the causes can be Leukaemia so of course, PANIC.

I've had soooooo many blood tests done recently. Thanks to my hives, the possible RA, my autoimmune thyroid condition plus my natural anxiety over my health the hospital probably has more of my blood than I do.

Two weeks ago I had a major anxiety over have lymphoma so my doc sent me for a bunch of blood tests. Everything was fine but I was a little anemic. Not very but enough to be on a course of iron tabs. More bloods in two weeks.

So surely if it was something bad like that SOMETHING would have shown up, right? I mean I bruise like a damn peach, always have done. My skin has always been super sensitive tissue paper. If it was the vasculitus it would be the to my thyroid or poss 'RA right?

Also, interestingly, said Aunt also has a thyroid condition, rheumatoid arthritis and has frequent iron deficencies. Gotta be something in the family, right?

Leukaemia would show up in any standard blood test, not to mention the ones your doctor specifically ordered for you.

You do not have Leukaemia, it is literally blood cancer, so it would of course show up in blood tests.

You are absolutely fine.

Thanks both. Been such a crappy time of late! Last few days I've had angiodema in my feet and hardly able to walk
