Hello I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question. But I recently had a thyroid ultrasound and the doctor has referred me to a specialist and in the letter is says "the thyroid was thought to look more vascular and this was different to a previous imaging of the thyroid".

My GP has gone on holiday for the next few weeks so is incontactable. So I was wondering if some people on here would be able to clarify what "more vascular" means?

My mum has an underactive thyroid (thyroiditis) could this have something to do with the vascular?

Does vascular indicate cancer?

Vascular does not indicate cancer.
