Hi guys,

So my house was smashed down recently as my parents wanted to rebuild. As you can probably tell, the old house had many faults in it. the ceiling fell off and we didn't repair it or anything.

I'm now crapping my pants because I heard that many homes have asbestos in them and even though symptoms don't develop until years later, I'm still so scared.

Does anyone have any advice/wisdom?

Hi

It all depends on when the house was built? Anything pre 1990's will more of likely have this in the walls, cealings, floor tiles etc... however if the house was knocked down, this would of been taken into consideration if this was done my a professional building company, they normally do a survey on what parts of the house has asbestos in it and access it from there. If you didn't stay in the house which I don't think you would of when the house was knocked down then you will be okay. It's normally large exposure over a long tim to asbestos that effects people, normally 10-20 years plus down the line.

I hope this helps
