Scared to take Bactrim

Ok so recently I was perscribed Bactrim (a sulfa drug,I have never taken a Sulfa drug before) because they found mild MRSA in my urine....which I am still freaking out about. Anyway,I am on day four of a 10 day,one every twelve hours and I am itching,and my lips are kinda chapped and I'm really scared of Steven Johnsons Syndrome. My skin has no rashes I'm just so itchy. I'm scared this is really finally it. I dont know what to do.

If in doubt you may call a doctor or even a pharmacist and seek advice there. My sister can't take Bactrim because of the reason you mentioned. She had the beginning stages of that and one doctor told her to take Benadryl but she started getting blisters and saw her regular doctor the same day who steered her in the right direction. She's perfectly fine now, by the way! I'm not sure how common that condition is but if in doubt seek professional advice NOT internet advice. Many medicines have the potential to cause that, including Tylenol.
