Are my tablets working anymore?

Hi guys
I have been on 20mg of cit for 12 months but over the last 4 days I have been feeling very stressed and my aching arms have returned. No reason apart from probably over working. Feels like anxiety again. Does cit slowly wear off or am I just under the weather?

So you're under greater than usual stress atm because of work pressure?

Are "aching arms" one of your anxiety/stress symptoms, or were they a side-effect when you first started taking citalopram? If neither then get them checked by a doctor asap, especially if you have cardiovascular risk factors.


Does cit slowly wear off or am I just under the weather?

Antidepressants can stop working, though this is uncommon. Doses may need to be raised if under greater than usual stress, and infections can reduce their effectiveness too.
