I woke up two weeks ago with the right side of my throats swollen and a swollen 1.2cm gland on the back right side of my neck. I was experiencing throat tightness and pain. A few days ago I felt pain under my chin and felt two small glands that are painful to the touch (I have been poking and prodding at them a lot). I was also experiencing on and off ear pain. The last two days I have been fatigued and not feeling the best. Even my vision with the glasses on is a bit blurry. I wake up feeling breathless. I was on a z pack of Azythromicin which didn't seems to help much at all. The swelling on the front of my neck seems to be slowly going down. I saw my GP immediately and had blood work and an ultrasound done. The ultrasound was able to capture the lymph node on the back side of my neck but none under my chin. I'm waiting on the results of the ultrasound done across my thyroid. Can poking have caused this to happen? I suffer from severe anxiety and I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?
