I haven't got around to watching GoT yet but I have read the first book. It's a lot different to this prequel which follows an honourable man elevated through his own hand and trusted because he hasn't grown up inside the normal classes. It reminds me of the film, A Knights Tale.

With GoT being so successful it seems logical they would. The second book will likely take the main character closer to the warring families.
