Hi everyone I'm new here and I've been really worried about these symptoms I have been having. If anyone has any previous experience of this then please do reply on here. I am.a 20 year old woman non smoker non drinker BMI healthy around 20.
Two weeks ago I started having problems swallowing, like there was piece of popcorn or a hard object in my throat. Initially I thought it was an allergy and u took antihistamines which didn't solve the problem. Then about a week ago I noticed while flashing my phone light down my throat, two fleshy lumps on my left tonsil. No white areas on it or any pus. Just like two balls of skin. I also feel like they have been growing because last time I checked a week ago you couldn't see them unless.you moved the skin. Now I can see them when I open my mouth.
Other symptoms are: ear pain in left side mainly/crackling in ears
Tiredness
Lymph nose enlarged in left side of neck
Headaches

I went to a G.P and they referred me to an ENT specialist but said it might take 6 weeks!!
Please please can someone tell me what this might be as I am.convinced I am dying of cancer !!

Have attached a picture you might need to zoom in. The two lumps at the back. WARNING: DON'T CLICK IF YOU ARE EASILY GROSSED OUT.

I think if your doctor thought there was even a possibility it might be cancer he would have sent you to ENT straight away I haven't looked at the pics sorry, yes they'd probably gross me out but more than that...we wouldn't know what the lumps are. We can only make a guess, so take comfort from the fact that your 6 week wait for an ENT appointment indicates that your doctor isn't very worried, and wait and see what they diagnose. Or go private for a quicker wait time perhaps.
