Hi all,
I have a slightly raised mole on my thigh. I've only recently been keeping an eye on it, as I had it checked by doctors years ago all saying it was fine. However, about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little black/ grey dry spot on it. I picked at it and it came off okay, but it got me concerned so I went to the dermatologist. She looked at it and instantly said "Oh, that's fine!" and reassured me by saying she'll do a full body check next year to ensure I'm okay. I felt a little silly even showing her, since it looked perfectly fine since I picked the dot off.
The thing is, today I noticed the mole again and noticed another little black/ grey dry spot on it. I did the same thing again and picked it off, but I've panicked ever since. What if she missed the melanoma because I'd picked it off before she saw it? I don't think this is possible since it's below the skin anyway, but it's got me really scared :weep: I wish she'd seen the dot. BTW it's really small, like a tiny speck.
