Lung CT scan waiting time?

This is not for me but a friend who is very worried.
She had lung a CT scan two weeks ago tomorrow for suspect lesions and hasn't heard anything yet.

Could it be a case of no news is good news? wouldn't she have heard something by now if it was bad news?

I try to reassure her but obviously she is very worried.

My mam has lung cancer and she went for an xray which they told her she had a shadow on the lung. She then had to go have a CT scan, and they told her within 2 days that she had lung cancer x
