Curious as to when I should take Lexapro?

I used to be on Lexapro when I was a teen (I'm 23 now) and recently have felt like I needed it again. I had a follow up with my neuro because of health issues I've been having and thought to ask if they could prescribe me it. They started me off with a low dose and obviously want me to follow up with a psychiatrist but in the mean time, what time do you think I should take it? Does it matter? I can't remember if I used to take it in the morning or at night. Thanks:)

I take mine at dinnertime. Usually the rule is, if it affects your sleep by keeping you awake, take it in the morning. If it makes you sleepy, take it before bed. If it doesn't affect your sleep, then it doesn't matter. Just pick a time for each day and take it.

I take lexapro and it has helped my depression tremendously (even though I do have my moments like right now when it's that time of the month and extra hormones are involved (sorry tmi). But I take it in the morning and it's fine. Doesn't make me sleepy or extra energy...
