I'm scheduled to have a colonoscopy on Tuesday that I was supposed to have a year ago, but put off because I fell pregnant. At the time, the specialist at the hospital said she didn't think it was anything sinister, maybe it was Crohn's disease or maybe nothing at all.
My anxiety is telling me they'll find cancer on Tuesday and my normal strategies aren't working so well. If they thought it was cancer, they wouldn't have let it be put off this long would they? If it was cancer wouldn't I be feeling dreadful from side effects after so long instead of feeling better than I've felt in years? She would have told me if she thought there was a good chance of something fatal wouldn't she?
