i am currently on 150mg of clomipramine, and find it helps quite a bit. It's still in the early stages, however. I really find it interesting how these different medications react with different people. So I guess my question is, have you ever had significant relief from your obsessions/compulsions via medication? And if so what was it? My OCD mainly comes in the form of intrusive thoughts, it's hellish. Hopefully this clomipramine keeps doing it's job though!

Lexapro worked really well for me for several years, and then it stopped working. Like you, I have more obsessional OCD, and I haven't really found much in the way of meds or therapy that has helped significantly since then.

I was on Zoloft for a decade before it stopped working, now I'm on lexapro. I've found both to be reasonably effective.

Zoloft worked really well for my OCD. Increased my anxiety, though, so I had to stop.

I were rom 2011 to 2013 on ciraset(in uk lexpro?) I felt so good. One moment i decided to stop... for a while(few years) with little anxiety i was fine untill this year spring. In this time i have started ciraset 5 times, on 5mg week or two and when i wanted to take 10mg i felt sooo bad. I stoped it... Today im starting again with 5 mg and try to take slow... in 2013 i took last half year only 5mg and it helped me much.:scared15:

Mirtazapine works for me. Still get the intrusive thoughts and some desire to act on compulsions, but it quietens them down enough for the logical side of the brain to work.
