Hi, just a wuick question. I've been taking 20mg of citalopram for a years now. Now that I'm going through a particularly tough period in my life, I'm looking to add supplements to aid in helping ,e to cope and deal with panic attacks.

St. John's Wort is a no-no. I can't rule that out.

Has anyone taken 5-HTP WITH CITSLOPRAM? Isotol? Or any other sumpplement? I'm happy enough to stick to 20mg and I know I can challenge my panic attacks. It's just the stress behind it all right now. A tone of stuff going on I need some temporary back up for good couple months or so.

Thanks 😊

Has anyone taken 5-HTP WITH CITSLOPRAM?

DON'T!!!! For the same reason as St Johns Wort, the potential for triggering serotonin syndrome.

It may also contain Peak-X contaminates. Peak-X is though to trigger the immune system disorder Eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (http://www.nemsn.org) (EMS). L-Tryptophan linked EMS caused the deaths of 37 people in the late 1980s and permanently damaged the health of another 1,500+. Why not just increase the citalopram dose?

Thanks for your reply. I think I will consider increasing the dose of citalopram. I'm glad I asked this question 😊

I have ordered vitamin B complex as a supplement, food supplement that may assist a little.

Thanks 😊
