Hi Guys N Gals,

I was just wanting some advice with regards Exercise & Ectopics - I have currently started training again i.e lots of gym work, i have ectopics & after my workouts, my workouts are quite intense as i see a personal trainer.

Has anyone heard of any problems with exercising when you suffer from ectopics, should i be working out like this or should i not be risking it???

Im frightened of causing a serious problem with my heart,, i.e a heart attack or something,, i know i shouldnt be thinking lke this is as ectopics are very common and harmelss ect, but i cant get it out of my heard so wanted to ask.

Any replys are received gratefully.

Thanks people

Sean

I get ectopics and it does feel really peculiar when I exercise because I can feel them more. I don't think it does any harm though as I am now 51 and I'm still here. I find that they settle down after exercise, even though they've been going strong during the exercise and immediately afterwards.

All i know is my cardiologist said exercise is the best way to help ectopics
but i have also read exercise can sometimes bring them on i would cary on exercising as its vital for your heart but dont over push yourself and when the ectopics come try your hardest to just ignore them
easierr said than done i know:wacko: carol x

don't worry Sean, I get them a fair bit during exercise.

They can kick in during the rower or especially bench press but when fitness levels increase I tend to get less eptopic beats.

Did you know they are harmless? ;)

Regards,

Jaco (cough not been gym for 2 weeks getting over hitting 40)

I am a fine one to say this, but if you have been checked out then exercise is recommended. I have thousands of ectopics a day, and my cardiologist recommended exercise. (But I am too frightened - but that is my problem, it shouldn't be yours!):sofa:

Hi Everyone,,

Thats the problem i have, i know its been recememed to exercise but it still concerns me and worrys me that i might induce some sort of heart attack,, i cant get that out of my head and therefore its holding me back getting fit which is obviosuly going to help me.

Im sure i have done something terrible in another life and these ectopics are my punishment, who knows,,, all i know is im in a dark lonley place with these ectopics and there beating me at the minute. I have days where i feel positive and then days were i feel more than low.

Thanks again for all the replies, there a big help.

Sean
