Recently I've started experiencing a lot of health anxiety again after a long layoff of feeling normal and less anxious and I want to know how everyone here copes with having health anxiety while holding their job? I've often had thoughts lately of wanting to quit my job due to my health anxiety (and not enjoying it) however dont think that would be the correct response.

In the past I quit my last job where I was working at a hospital that sent me spiraling into a health anxiety crisis. Luckily back then I had a job lined up in a office setting to calm me down, however the amount of downtime has left me with a lot of thinking time and that has turned out to be just as negative.

What are some possible routes here? Is there a way to get an extended period of time off for mental recovery? Should I consider quitting my job? Should I stay and stick it out until I can find something new? I'd love to hear peoples thoughts and experiences.
