I'm a DORK!

Swollen ankle - get a sore swollen ankle every summer from mowing the yard, playing basketball, etc. Today, eating lunch, I'm comparing my ankles. I go into like a 5 minute "spell" of "Oh no! What if this is a tumor????" Tumor? What a dork!!!! How many times have you heard of someone dying of ankle cancer!

Probably about as many times as I've heard someone called a Dork outside of the Police Academy films!

What I found helped me to dispell these thoughts, and not react to them, was to view them as a list of options with subconscious mind relling off anything from the relevant to the absolutely impossible and conscious mind ticking them off from relevant to bonkers.

Update - sometime, I'm thinking about 9 years ago, I actually BROKE it. Bone chips making it swell. I hear it's quite common and I have to go see a specialist. How nuts is that?
