I've been having anxiety and panic attacks for about 18 months now. So, you know that feeling if someone were to jump out and scare you, you get a "surge" through your body? I get those all throughout the day for no apparent reason. I could be sitting reading a book and I'll get a surge. Is this just part of the anxiety or is something wrong with me physically? Anyone else have this?

Oh yeah I get that.... certainly an anxiety thing lucky.

And today my daughter came up behind me and tapped me on the back when I didn't know she was there. I jumped feet. Leaves me feeling like on a rollercoaster:ohmy: .

Can think about it with humour now coz I feel better this evening. But try not to worry. Its just another way of anxiety trying to sneak up on you and play tricks. Try to ignore it and it will eventually go away (or ease off anyway).

Hi there Lucky,

You're never going to believe this but I've just had one, don't get them very often at all nowadays (unless I'm going to the dentist or similar!) and I tend to ignore them now (I do know that's easier said than done though).....

...but you'll never guess what I was doing when I got it?.......yes...

Reading a book!!! :read::blush:

I have my 2 1/2 yr old grandson coming to stay for the weekend tomorrow and I have my mother (!) to sort out with shopping etc and my daughter to see who's just had a baby and has got sore nipples, and my other daughter who's a police officer and hopefully will have some time off tomorrow,...........deep breath!.....

soooooo.......it's no wonder I had one!

I'm sure this is anxiety and not some physical ailment.

Try not to overly worry about it, but it is uncomfortable isn't it?
