hi, i am very new to this site, I just wanted to know if anyone suffers with their heart skipping a beat?? I have never had this before but suddenly 2 days ago my heart started doing it!! It happens throughout the day but yesterday in particular it happened almost every other beat for about 2 hours, it drove me nuts!!

I am under the docs for M.S. so she asked me to come in for a blood test and an ECG 'just to make sure' but the ECG was fine it didnt show anything serious just awaiting the results from the blood test.

My question is firstly does anyone else have this?? also is it something I will get forever now?? It has all started after I had a nasty relapse and had to have a very high dose of steroid and they really alterd my mood and I got very depressed! I am normally a bit of an anxious person and I have a touch of OCD but it has never been this bad before!

So sorry for the long post I just need to know that I am not alone and that I am not about to have a heart attack !!!!

Any advice would be a godsend for me!!

Thanks guys

Hi Mel

I really think Andrea said it all! But I wanted to welcome you to NMP, and let you know that since having difficulties with panic & anxiety, this place has given me lots of reassuring advice and support, and helped to keep my sanity. Palpitations are incredibly common, though they do feel horrible. But I found information on symptoms from the Home page which really helped me make sense of things and feel so much less worried about it all. :yesyes:

Hope this helps.
