Ear issues

Since last night I've been hearing a tapping sort of noise in my ear. It's terrifying me as sort of sounds like a heartbeat but it's mixed in with a flutter so not quite sure what it is. I know I've had flutters in my ears before and not been bothered but I've had it all day and it's really annoying me as when it's quiet I can hear it. I'm worried it's symptoms of a brain tumour but don't know if my ears blocked or it's water or something? I had it after I had a shower yesterday so could it be water?? Any help welcome it's starting to scare me

I get all sorts of noise in my ears and have done since I was a kid. Static, whistling, humming, tapping (my own heart beat). Does it get worse when you move your head about especially if you bend over ? Because if it does it's probably water. It could also just be wax. or it could be nothing at all, as I said Iv had noise since I was a kid so it's probably just one of those things and you are noticing it more because of anxiety.

Yesterday it did get louder/more frequent when I moved but today it's just persistent,really starting to annoy me and stress me out:( I keep getting worried over little things now a days I hate it! My mum joked saying it might be a beetle,I didn't take that lightly :roflmao:
