My upper arm near my shoulder has been twitching fairly regularly for about 4 days now. I am beginning to fear ALS. I just took a long flight to Europe and it started twitching after that or during that it seems. I'm 31 years old and am really starting to fear ALS is showing itself starting in my arm.

I wouldn't worry that it's ALS. You've had this worry before . Have you gotten therapy yet? Twitching is a symptom of anxiety as you well know.

I just worry because it's been 4 days and I haven't been anxious about it at all until today because I've been so busy. :/ ... I don't know why it would still be twitching for no reason for 4 days.

Yeah, I know, I'm scared to go down this hole again but the symptoms are different. This time I have had twitching consistently in one spot for 4 days. Not all over my body in random spots.

Has anyone here ever had twitches in one area that weren't really anxiety driven or seemed to come on in a low anxiety time and last a while?

Yes... right now. My upper right arm has been twitching for a few months. Know what ? I don't care. Know why ? I know 4 people personally that died of ALS, I've seen it first hand. My upper arm twitching. My eye twitching. My calf twitching. .. means nothing.

It's just a twitch.

Four people is a lot. Were they related?

For your own sanity PLEASE do not follow this thread or ask questions about genuine ALS diagnoses..That's if you want to change direction and challenge your HA?

Twitching means nothing! Go read the sticky fishmanpa posted. Or go to aboutbfs. Actually, maybe don't, it's a treasure trove of ALS neurotics. ;)
