questions about birth control and anxiety regarding it

so hi, i'm new on here and i'm kind of nervous posting this but i cant find much online regarding it and I'm curious as to if other people have experience in this area. this is probably a bit tmi. I'm a transgender boy (born female, now male but pre-op) and I started taking Primolut N a few months ago to stop my period but was told I should stop taking it because it was negatively effecting my mental health, and i switched to levlen two days ago. I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this switch, because i've just started my period again (which levlen is suppose to stop) but i dont know how long it takes to go into effect and im afraid something is wrong with my insides.

Was there much of a gap between the two hormones you were taking? I know when I've switched up birth control in the past I've had bleeds.
