Hi, I just signed up here. I'm 27 and live in the North West. I've had social anxiety issues since as far back as I can remember, suffered from depression since my teens, and since my twenties I've had agoraphobia.

After leaving uni in 2002 I slipped into a strange depressed and agoraphobic state of non-productivity. I felt completely lost as to what career path to take and I ended up shut off from the world living on the Internet.

I'm still confused, lost, and hiding from the world in my flat, but since last year I've made quite a lot of progress. Instrumental in that progress has been my discovery of David Burns's CBT books, especially 'Feeling Good'.

Nice to meet you all. I hope I can learn more here and help others if possible.
