Hi Miss Motown,

I had dreadful problems with excess saliva when I was having withdrawal from tranqullisers - I don't know if this is relevant to you but I hope things improve for you soon. Brandy Snap xx

Hi miss Motown, i am sure i have read somewhere that saliva is a natural antacid therefore if you have indigestion you will produce more saliva to protect the osopheogus(?), the only problem is us anxiety sufferers produce way to much acid for the saliva to deal with so we dont notice the benefits.

hope that reasures you a little

Hi miss motown,

My daughter suffered anxiety from a very early age, this excess saliva was a very strong symptoms for her, when she was asleep she sounded like she was drinking a class of water.

She did suffer acid reflux because of the anxiety, so this is why she had alot of saliva.

Sharon is right, the saliva is there to protect the asopheougus.

Ask anyone, even people who don't suffer anxiety, if they feel there going to be sick the mouth producers more saliva, being sick brings up acid, so the body does this to protect the osopheogus.

This symptoms does pass in time, my daughter has not had this prob in a long time.

Try taking some ant acid tabs, this will help.

Hope this helps

TAKE CARE

LOVE JILLXX
