Hello

I am on ESA in the support group. When I was put in the support group I was sent a letter which said ........"to be re-referred on 11 Sep 2017". Does anyone know what they mean by that please? 11 Sept 2017 is Monday of course I'm worrying about it!

Thanks in advance.

DWP don't leave claimants in the Support Group indefinitely now. They periodically review your status and "re-refer" you after checking for any changes with your GP, or calling you in for an assessment. I don't think it's anything to worry about and if they had decided to carry out an assessment you'd have been sent an appointment by now. More than likely they called your GP.

I got put in the Support Group I think it was 3 years ago. A few months ago, I was assessed and didn't know why, because my claim was suspended cos of financial reasons, so I do know that you can be re-assessed at some point.

Thank you both for replying and KK77 for the information. I understand that we are assesed again because of changing circumstances but I thought the word "re-referred" was a bit weird and wondered if I had to do anything.

No news is always good news when it comes to DWP. Sure everything is fine, unless you hear from them :lac:
