View Full Version : Fear of carbon monoxide in my truck
So I have an exhaust problem and my dad said always roll the window doen when you drive it, we're getting it fixed this week but I'm scared I'm going to get carbon monoxide poisoning, I drove it once a week until he said that now I'm so scared.. thinking i have long term damage or something
Carbon Monoxide poisoning usually occurs when a gas appliance(boiler/fire) in the home malfunctions.Thats why it is advisable to have them serviced on a regular basis. There was fresh air in the vehicle.I have not heard of anyone being harmed by a car/truck exhaust in such conditions.
You could ask the garage about the "risks". Was smoke comming out of the exhaust? Glad you are having it repaired. If a vehicle breaks down its a hassle.
