Hi all! First time posting on this site- let me know if I do anything wrong!

I was wondering if anyone had advice about dealing with health anxiety surrounding the people you love? My partner has to go for blood tests and an MRI because of some intrusive thoughts he's been having, and my anxiety has gone into overdrive. I can't stop worrying that the MRI will find a brain tumour or something else horrible, and that he's going to die.

How can I stop obsessing over this? I can't seem to shake the fear off :(

When you say intrusive thoughts, do you mean OCD?
Very unlike its brain cancer instead.

Very unlike its brain cancer instead. We thought it might be but the doctor wasn't sure. He doesn't have any other OCD symptoms. However the GP was a bit rubbish :/

Intrusive thoughts are the main and in some case only symptom of OCD.
