Hi,

I live on a cul-de-sac and parking spaces are at a premium. There are times when cars take up two spaces. I worry that one day I'll come home and find nowhere to park. This makes me anxious and I get annoyed at myself for feeling this way over parking spaces.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,

.Poppy.

I lived in a house with three roommates, on a street where everyone had a bunch of roommates. Parking was at a premium there, too, and I also would feel really anxious/agitated when I couldn't find somewhere to park. It was worse when I had to do a tight parallel park - the street was narrow, so there was always the chance I'd be blocking traffic while trying to park. I'm actually pretty good at parallel parking, but if I feel pressured/judged I tend to freak out.

It helped me to have some "alternate" spaces I knew I could aim for if need be. Is there more parking a bit farther down?

Hi Poppy,

There's sometimes places to park further down the road but sometimes that's full too. I'm glad it's not just me who has this problem:).
