Two oral surgeons, 1 Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, three dentists. That's SIX people who for years make a living looking inside people's mouths.

I have had this spot on the bottom of my mouth since March. I've lost count of all the times I've had it checked - I remember 4 times by the oral surgeons (one checked it twice right before he retired), 3 times by the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, and the three different dentists, I've lost count, but well over 10 times.

Yes, I remember BITING that part of my mouth where the "trauma" is (that's what a few of them said it looked like, trauma). Most have told me if it was something serious, it would have took off and spread like wildfire well within two months, and this has been 6 months now.

Even my psych med doctor who used to be in the medical field saw my recent blood work, which was by and large great, and said my bloods would be messed up if it were anything serious.

Why can't I still believe these people????????????? I just don't get it.

Because your health anxiety is a bitch and it's lying to you, like it does to all of us.

Sometimes the only thing you can really do is chant 'You (the HA) are wrong, the doctors are right. You are wrong, the doctors are right.' You might not believe it, but it's true.

Hang in there. You're going to be OK.

Thank you! I know this - I just can't "feel it," if you know what I mean?
