I suffer from anxiety which in turn causes IBS and I am currently taking 20mg of Citalopram which is helping but I cant bear the thought of flying which is causing problems. I find the day we are leaving I am in a right state and keep having to go to the toilet before we go and then suffering anxiety at the airport and when i get on the plane I cant eat, drink or talk to anyone I am just counting down the minutes until we land. I am not actually scared of flying as I love the taking off and landing its the bit inbetween I hate as I feel trapped so I suppose its a mixture of anxiety and claustrophobia and then I know I have to go though it all again to return home . Just wondered if anyone else had this problem and had managed to overcome it as I would love to be able to fly abroad again.
