Hi, today I have seen a private psychiatrist for my breakthrough anxiety and he said that it’s obvious mirtazapine and quetiapine ain’t right as they have not dealt with the issue so he has prescribed me 15mg buspar for 2 weeks... anyway what can I expect from start up effects? As it worked for anyone?

Hello, I too am about to start taking buspar 15mg daily. I will also be taking my other medication seroxat. Let me know how your transition was

I don't think this worked very well for him, Lemondrizzle. Ben was posting about Xanax today. This is an old post now.

Hi

I am on 30mg buspar- 15am and 15pm, it worked very well for GAD. Which it is designed to do it also makes my anti d and mood stabilised work stronger but it does not work for Panic. I have used much less diazepam average 1 every 2 weeks now where I was at 2/3 per week before so it does actually work. I've got it on repeat for 6 months. So in short - it works for generalised anxiety but not anti panic!

Buspar isn't a very strong drug, works for mild anxiety

Not to say it won't work wonders for you but if it does nothing don't be scared of coming off it.

Its very safe too with few side effects

I gave it my best bash but had to trash it.

Very true but it does potentiate other meds your on so can work very well for generalised anxiety
