Hair bleach in eye a few weeks back

Hi guys im new to the forum and i really need help. I always had health anxiety hypochondraic and ocd.. with every little pain i think i have cancer.. hiv etc.. so here's the story : Few weeks back i had maybe a drop of hair bleach in my right eye and i never notice till it started burning real bad.. i washed it but its not immediate. Till today my vision is clear but my eye just doesn't feel normal its getting sharp pain suddenly and i start tearing soon after i feel much better and this is like a cycle.. . Do you think i might have destroyed my eye permanently? or is it anxiety? Im getting somehow very depressed because of this please help..:shrug:

I think if permanent damage was done it wouldn't of waited a few weeks, it's probably anxiety :) maybe it's just because you're worrying, it's totally normal, if it carries on get checked out but I don't think you need to be worried :)

good thing is my vision is clear however i have not had any sharp eye pain before this incident do you think it might cause eye problems like dry eyes etc.

The incident would of caused problems a day after not now, I don't think it's related to the incident :)

You would have washed the bleach off your eye pretty soon after you did it and your eyes have a film layer covering them, so with all the blinking you'd have done between now and then I'm sure you wouldn't be affected by that now :) It's probably a bit of eye strain or random dry eyes..

Thanks guys.. What worries me is that i did not wash it off immediately maybe about 1 hour + after i felt the burn to make me realise '' some bleach went in''( im stupid i know) and now with all the symptoms pain +teary eyes my brain is filled with what ifs. Etc the delayed washing could have caused some minor permanent damage. My eyes feels like theres a cut whenever i move my eyeballs. So im thinking since its already 3 weeks shouldn't it already heal :/

You said it was fine for a few weeks and now it's bothering you. It can't be a three week delayed reaction. You probably rubbed it wrong or it's irritated for another reason. I'm not one for paid reassurance but if it's bothering you that much, see the eye doctor.

hmm.. its not really fine the first 3 days were bloodshot red it did get better pain was indeed reduced however i do get random sharp stings followed by tearing every now and then which did not happen prior to the incident that gave me negative thoughts :/ maybe its just my heart that can't accept the fact that i might have injured it. its really expensive to get to a specialist here.
