Hello all,
i'm Laura. I'm from Melbourne in Australia, I've been recently diagnosed with Panic disorder and major depression. I feel I may have some OCD symptoms as well!
I'm feeling a lot better though, thanks to the amazing support of my family and my lovely partner Matt, without him I wouldn't be able to write about this I would be at home tucked in bed crying and panicky.
I've just completed a degree in psychology and am about to start my postgraduate psychology degree in 2008. I think studying these disorders has helped immensely, knowledge is power and all that!
I have two beautiful dogs, we call them our baby substitutes and it's rather sad, who would've thought I'd become part of a doggy family, but they are divine, I'll try and post some pics of them here at some point.
I've already got some wonderful stories from you guys and am so appreciative of the people who've set these forums up because knowing I'm not alone is so wonderful and such a blessed relief!:)

hi laura,

i feel the same about knowing your not alone - just knowing helps doesnt it?

well done for doing so well with your studying, and yes i agree that knowledge is power. and lovely that youve got supportive and caring people in your life, i also have people who care but sometimes im a bit too demanding, and i complain alot which is very naughty coz its not their fault they dont understand!

also i have a daughter but i have two doggie babies too and if i knew anything about how to email photos i would but i cant seem to email 1 photo and my computer doesnt like it if i try to mail a whole file!

anyway good luck
