A mum brought her kid in to work and today and he was covered in chicken poxs and he was coughing everywhere. omg i am freaking out chicken pox as an adult is awful . I've never had chicken pox, i got a blood test, so i def not had them. omg this mum is so mean. i am freaking out.
I have had a chicken pox vaccine 2 years ago but i am still freaking out the next 2 weeks im going to just think about this, cant make plans in case i get them.
yes i had the vaccines, but does it work?
maybe they gave me the wrong vaccines.
why did the kid have to cough everywhere, omg thw next 2 week im just gonna freak out

Yes the vaccines work, you are very, very unlikely to get it.

yeah i was just freaking out i would prefer not to get them but i am worrying about other heath things now lol

They didn't give you the wrong vacines lol. Don't worry about it.

You're vaccinated and you'll be okay! Even if you catch them, I don't think you will, but even if you do, you will also be okay. xx

I've had chickenpox. In my day, there was no vaccine for several illnesses, so everyone got chickenpox, measles and mumps at some time. It wasn't treated as something serious, although we are more careful today. If you have been vaccinated, there is a very, very small risk that you may still catch chickenpox, but it will be much milder than normal. Like all things it's only a tiny risk, so just get on with your life and don't worry.
