Hot spot

Refusing to google this which is a first for me! But does anyone know what would cause a patch on the front of my calf to feel hot. Feels like a hot flannel being placed on my skin for few seconds. Comes on and off throughout the day. I'm 39 weeks pregnant my mum said the baby could be lying on a nerve but I'm not so sure about this. Anyone ever experienced this ? Is it worth making a doctors appointment x

Hey mentioned it to my midwife and she said its nothing we all get weird feelings in our bodies from time to time. I was never worried about it being anything other than my nerves I knew it wasn't a blood clot which is what people on another forum told me it was but I knew for a fact it wasn't that x
