Is this question ridiculous? About how you catch the flu

Ok so a friend of mine came over and we hugged - he kissed my cheek then he told me his wife is super sick with the flu. OMG, what a way to ruin a catch up with a hypochondriac. I just wanted him to leave and when he hugged me I tried to keep it quick but he kissed my cheek again, he wasn't sick, but if his wife is sick I'm sure he will be.
Can I catch it from that interaction?
Am I crazy paranoid?
By the way, my cat scratch healed!

Sorry I might be missing something but why worry about getting the flu? I'm sure if you're gonna get it you will, I currently have the flu and have the social interaction of a brick.
