struggling to hold on giant cell arteritis fear

iv been suffering headaches past 2 weeks in templeand eye flashing light nasuea jaw pain neckpain

seen eye specialists ect
stupidly googled and it came up giant cell artritis im now terrified it can cause aortic anurysm

i rang my doc he said it unlikely but to speak to another doc during my app on thur i dont know how il get threw the next 2 days

does anyone know anything about this condition

Compared to chances of your symptoms being related to stress and tension, pretty much so. What pain med you take to help with headaches?

I think you can rule this latest worry out but by all means see your GP about it.

im over anxious iv just started med for anxiety and it making me manic at mo

now realised i got lump by ear just before this started it gone right down but still there ... panicking argh i cant do this no more

so i had worries last month started getting flashes in vision and headaches i lost the plot saw eye casualty 4 times and a n e once
thought it was calming down

then i started getting burning scalp literally feels like head on fire
and headaches ten times worse my jaw is agony and neck
2 weeks ago my doc done bloods to reasure me about giant cell arteritis esr and crp being main two they came back just over but not enough for giant cell
the esr was 15 and crp 8 which is low for me

but my wbc came back high so he wanted them repeated
this time my crp came back at 12 and esr at 25 i lost it went running straight to a n e but they didnt want to know they literally know im insane so dont take me seriously at all

i know giant cell normally effect older people im 27 but my symtpoms seems to match! burning scalp temple pain jaw pain

im CONVINCED but nobody will listen to me im terrified il just go blind all of a sudden i cant sleep or eat im terrified

I don't think you're "insane", just very anxious. When do you get these "flashes" in vision?

Having blood tests like these will usually throw up some slight "abnormality" which causes more anxiety and panic. Really doesn't mean anything. I can't diagnose but your symptoms fit migraine and cluster/tension type headaches far better than the title of this thread.

What are you doing to control anxiety?

The flashes touch wood aren’t as bad
But headaches hurts to touch head tongue hurts blurry eyes burning scalp are doing me in I’m convinced and nothing is persuading me it’s not

Hi - I am also really struggling at the moment with head issues. I've had headaches on and off since August and sometimes I also think I might see flashing lights and have blurred vision. I'm really worried it's a brain tumour but my doctor says anxiety. It is possible I am being highly sensitive to sensations and symptoms....

Do you think the same might be true for you?
