Depakote

Hello everyone,

I am about to start taking Depakote to help with mood stabilisation, 250mg in the morning and 250mg at night. I suffer badly from depression, anxiety as well as a borderline personality disorder (emotionally unstable/personality traits).

I have been on that many antidepressants etc I have lost track but I was wondering what it's like being on Depakote, what can I really expect from this dose? I am also currently on 100mg of Amitriptyline to help me sleep, 80mg of slow release Propranolol for Anxiety and 5mg Diazepam as as when needed, I also get 10mg top up tablets of Propranolol.

I took sodium valproate for a while when I was going through a really tough time it helped with the suicidal thoughts but I wasn’t on it long enough to give you a fair judgement of it

Hi Kian

Sorry to dig up an old thread but how did you go with the Depakote? I have been on it now for 2 weeks with no change to my anxiety at all.
