On saturday morning i woke up with a blocked nose and despite blowing it the blockage prevailed so i poured some tap water up my nose
I thought this would be fine until i heard you should never ever do this unless it was boiled or distilled and now i can't stop worrying/having panic attacks that i have got a brain eating ameoba in my brain.
Its annoying because the symptoms can take at least 5 days to develop and idk if i'm imagining symptoms or not.

Is there a likely chance that UK tap water has this ameboa in it and that its gone to my brain?

I seriously hope not because I'm always getting water in my ears when I wash my hair!

I think you'll be ok somehow.. :winks:

We drink water from the tap so how could it have such a thing in it?

Are you serious? UK tap water is chlorinated unless you draw your water from a well?

Welcome to NMP :welcome:

That's why chlorine is added to water to disinfect it:

We get water up our noses swimming, showering, bathing, etc.

It's only a possible issue if there is a boil notice for your area, which you can easily check out. Even then if may not be a concern in terms of your fear.
